About Modern Irish Dance

Welcome to the very exciting world of Modern Irish Dance. Modern Irish Dance was established in 2009 by Adrian Murphy as a syllabus to be taught in dance schools, universities, stage schools and universities internationally.


After a decade of choreographing major productions and teaching in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and UK (Fire Dance the Show, Feet of Fire, Celtic Dance Force), Adrian Murphy, founder of Modern Irish Dance is now taking his masterclass worldwide.


The Modern Way

After the Irish Dance revolution due to such smash hit shows as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, people all over the world felt inspired to learn Irish dance.

As a traditionally trained Irish Dancer Adrian Murphy broke new territory by adding arm movements, embracing a fusion of styles, modern music and an action-packed dance syllabus for dancers of all ages and abilities.
